I'm Abbey Whitehead, a journalism graduate from SAIT with a passion for storytelling that digs deeper. I’m driven by a love for local stories and a desire to shine a light on underreported issues—stories that matter, voices that deserve to be heard, and the moments that define our communities.

Beyond the newsroom, I'm also a cook, an aspiring author, and a passionate photographer. Whether I’m behind a camera, in the kitchen, or chasing a story, I thrive on connecting with people and bringing their experiences to life in creative, meaningful ways.

With a strong foundation in hard news reporting, I bring curiosity, empathy, and dedication to every project. I’ve also completed marketing courses as well as Hootsuite, giving me a solid understanding of digital strategy and audience engagement. I’m confident working across platforms and tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and WordPress, always aiming to create content that’s not only compelling but impactful.
